Hamitou means “aunt.”
To me, that word instantly brings a feeling:
A woman who welcomes you with love,
who fills her home with warmth and laughter,
and who always looks beautiful modestly, gracefully, never over the top.That’s the feeling I wanted to capture in clothing.
For home.
For the days when guests come over.
For holidays when the house feels a little extra special.

I often found myself stuck between pajamas and outdoor clothes.
Too simple… or too much.
As if nothing existed for that in-between space where so many of our most meaningful moments happen.

That’s why I started Hamitou Kandora.
Because home might just be the most important place where we want to feel beautiful.
Not for others, but for ourselves
for our peace, our family, our memories.

A kandora feels soft and flows freely.
You can cook, host, laugh, pray, and unwind.
Just be yourself in comfort and style.

This brand is my tribute.
